Happy Halloween!
Nothing scary at WW this morning. I was down 2.2 lbs. Lost what I gained on my vaca and a little more. So nice to see it moving in the right direction.
In today's meeting, we discussed our top 3 goals for our WW journey. Well, here are mine in order of importance:
1. Prevent Diabetes and Heart Disease
My Dad has both and I hate the fact that I will lose him because of these diseases. I am destine for both if I don't do something now. I eat like I am a diabetic even though I do not have it. Sugar is evil! Bad Carbs are evil! I exercise for my heart. I do not want my girls to worry about me like I do for my Dad. I want them to see how to live a healthy life.
2. Improve my athletic performance
I'm never upset if I am the last to finish an event, but come on.... it's nice not to be last. It's fun to pass someone in a swim lane, on the bike course, or during the run. I lost a lot of my running endurance for slacking over the last 6 months, but I'm slowly getting it back.
3. Be a 'normal' size
I have been overweight my entire life, always the chunky, fat, heavy, chubby, short girl. Well, there is nothing I can do about my 5'2" height, but I can change my weight. I experienced this a bit after my fast. I want to get back to that feeling.
