Performance Improvement

Woke up at 5am to get my run on.  It's sooooo hot here in AZ, we have no choice but to get up early if we want to workout outside.  I love my Saturday morning runs.  Gets my weekend started.

So I'm really starting to notice a difference in my performance.  I'm getting a little bit faster.  My energy is awesome!   My run this morning was pretty evident of that.. check out my times for my Hood Run I do every Saturday.  From 17:21 to 14:07... and my max speed when I sprint got up to 9:51 today.

And just to graph it (sorry, analysis is my profession), you can see I had a good consistent run portion for the first 1/2 mile or so.  My goal is to make this a wider mesa.
Compare that to when I first started running my lamp posts  http://got2triaz.blogspot.com/2013/05/running-lamp-posts.html

And then to how I used to run prior to running lamp posts.  (This was actually 2 loops of my hood run)

I was so pumped after my run this morning, I decided to jump on my bike and go for a spin.  I kind of hung up my bike for the summer so I can focus on my running, but I was really missing it.  I'd drive to work every morning and see bikers and I was envious. Every night, I would walk by my bike in the garage, touch the handle bar and say 'I miss you'... OK, that is weird, but I do!  Anyways, I pumped up the tires, greased the chain,  and went for a 5 mile ride.   Now that's a way to start the weekend!!
