I was
feeling pretty good about this past week, until I weighed in this morning. I
thought for sure I would be down a couple of pounds, but I was only down .6.
That sucks! But I will not let this derail me! I’m happy it is a negative and
not a plus! Heather’s post on Half Size Me.com , 'Progress ,Not perfection: My Weight Watchers Weekly Weigh-in Records', was perfect timing. She showed the
history of her weekly weigh ins. Really shows a little can add up to a lot, so I am
moving forward.
I am sticking to the food program. It’s been 3
weeks with no sugar binges! That is huge for me! I’m not even tempted to have something off program
(sugar, grains, processed foods). All cravings have gone away. The true
benefit of low carb has set in – low appetite. Very similar to the Fast, but I
feel satiated, my energy is good, and my hair is not falling out (yes, this did
happen on the Fast). Makes it easier to stick to a program when you are not
craving the bad stuff to get you off course.
I had a number of food encounters that would
have knocked me out – pot luck at work (veggies and egg whites), Friday night
treat out with our girls – no ice cream for me (Greek yogurt), ASU football pre
party (grilled chicken), and dinner out at Chilli’s (Chicken Margarita, black
beans, and broc). I manage to stay around my 28 point per day and I did not go
much into my weekly free points (5 out of 49). But, I failed in the exercise
realm. I really should be working out at least 5 times a week, maybe even 6.
But I have lost motivation. I have to get up at 4:30am in order to workout prior
to work. I’ve just been so lazy. Hitting the snooze or changing the alarm to
5:30am and missing the workout. I only worked out once this week – 3 miles on
Saturday. That is ridiculous! This is what I need to focus on this week!
