Today, I should be getting ready for my last event of 2014 (5k), but I'm down with a sinus infection and feeling like crap. I hate missing races. It's been a very hectic couple of months and it is not going to let up any time soon. This is our busy season at work. We prepare for months for Jan 1st, when all the new benefit programs kick in. Then January is a whirlwind of audit and problem solving. I just looked at my work calendar and realized that I will be working straight from 12/27 to at least 1/23. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. I have a ton of work still to do AND get ready for Christmas this week.
My eating and workouts have been off track. It's been really frustrating. I try to get 'with it' but then I just fail. I can't seem to keep any goals I set-up for myself. I'm trying not to beat myself up, but it is not easy. I really need a plan to get through the next 6-8 weeks. I need to try to put myself first by eating clean and getting some exercise in. I need to keep it simple - keep in my calorie range and move everyday. I don't want to over think it like I have been doing. If I don't, it will only add to my stress. I have several big events planned for the 1st half of 2015 and I need to be ready!
This will be my last post for awhile. I need to step away from the on-line world for a bit so I can focus.
